Uppercase March 2017 Unboxing

I got my first Uppercase Box!

If you are not familiar with Uppercase, let me tell you the basics. Uppercase is a monthly subscription service that sends you a signed YA novel every month, along with 1-2 high quality bookish items.

This month’s box was really awesome, I seriously loved all the goodies! Here’s what I got:

The book selection was Hunted by Meagan SpoonerThis YA fantasy novel is a Beauty and the Beast retelling with a twist: the beauty here is a hunter trying to kill the beast. Sounds cool, huh? The book came signed by the author and included a bookmark. Which is always appreciated, because even though I have a hundred bookmarks, I can never find them when I need them and end up using paper towels or old receipts… Value: $17.99 ($9.86 on Amazon)

These pretty Jane Austen socks by SockSmith. I love getting wearable things on subscription boxes and, as Dumbledore said, you can never have enough socks. I loved the colors and the floral design! The quote on the socks says “I declare after all, there is no enjoyment like reading“.  Value: $8.00

This super cute Book Hoarder sticker by Alexis Lampley of Nerdy Post. It has a nice finish (I’m not sure if it’s vinyl but it’s similar enough for an untrained eye like mine). And looks sturdy enough to put it on my bicycle! Now all my neighbors will know I’m a book hoarder and that’s why I never leave my home 🙂  Value: $??

This awesome 5″x 7″  gold foil art print by Bella Adele Co, featuring seven beloved children’s books. I couldn’t capture the beauty of this print on a picture, but it is really, really pretty. (TRUST ME). It also included a 20% discount coupon for the Bella Adele shop.  Value: $11.00

An interactive reading experience! It seems like every Uppercase box includes a bookmark with some page numbers and codes. Whenever you reach one of those pages, you can go to the Uppercase website and write the corresponding code to access extra digital material: polls, questions, videosm etc. Since I just read the first page I entered the code Meagan on the website and it showed me a video of the author talking about her writing experience. It was really cool and definitely motivates me to keep reading 😀

Finally, a sheet with information about all the goodies. It also comes with a hand-written note from Lisa, the curator of the box. I loved this detail! And by the way, all the items came inside this bag (and the bag was mailed inside a padded envelope).

I really liked the quality of all the items and was very surprised with the value of this box. I also felt super special because the book came signed by the author and the box included a hand-written note from the curator (with my name on it 🙂 ).
An Uppercase box is $23.00 USD + shipping. (Or $13.99 + shipping is you only want to get the signed book with the interactive bookmark).

According to my calculations, the value of the March box was at least $36.99 (without counting the dragon sticker because I didn’t know its price).

I received this box from Uppercase in exchange for an unboxing. All opinions are my own!

Which one was your favorite item? I usually pick socks but this time I’ll have to go with the art print, its’ so beautiful!
