Misleading Book Synopses

Today’s Top 5 Wednesday was supposed to be about synopses that made us think the book was totally different. But I don’t think that has happened to me, especially because I either read books without knowing anything about them, or I read hundreds of reviews before even buying the book. There’s no middle ground.

Instead I decided to make a little game where I write a misleading synopsis for a popular book, and you guys can try to guess which book I’m talking about 😀

Ready?

Go! (There’s a picture with the answers at the end)

1This book is about a girl whose sister is chosen to appear on national T.V., but she can’t tolerate the idea so she takes the opportunity instead, becoming a big sensation.

2A book about a character that keeps getting weaker and isolated because of his beliefs, while the only person who is truly connected with him is trying to steal his most prized possessions, kill him and even kill his pet.

3A girl has more than one ability………………………………………………………………………………………

4In this book a teenager hangs out with weird old people. An old lady seems creepily interested in him.

5A creepy stalker watches a girl sleep every night from the window. He wants to kill her. He’s so obsessed with this girl that she’s like a drug to him.

LOVED this take on the topic! Divergent almost stumped me, Miss Peregrine’s was the other I really had to think on. Definitely made me laugh!
